Sustainable Products Made From Renewable Resources

People across the world are realizing that as the global population increases, the earth’s natural resources are quickly depleting. Continued land development and deforestation are contributing to the loss of precious forest land and rainforests at an alarming rate while our landfills are overflowing. Humans are using up natural resources faster than nature can replenish them, and creating waste faster than the earth can reclaim

Arresting or reversing this imbalance requires us to produce and use products made from “sustainable resources.” For humans to live sustainably, the earth’s resources must be used at a rate at which they can be replenished. PrimeWare is made from annually renewable resources.

Environmentally Friendly – Disposable and Compostable

PrimeWare’s disposable and compostable tableware products are environmentally friendly.

PrimeWare’s molded fiber products are naturally grown and are easily converted by nature back into simple, stable compounds readily absorbed back into the ecosystem. This process takes a few months with normal composting and introduces no toxins into the environment. We also offer products made from PLA, a plant-based plastic, that is also BPI certified compostable and ASTM compliant.

Cities and countries are now banning Styrofoam and Polystyrene coated tableware which has been the standard for packaging in the food industry for several years. Research shows that Styrofoam, which can take thousands of years to degrade, essentially becomes a permanent part of our environment. It also poses health risks since it is made from petroleum based materials and chemicals.
